HUGE FIREWORK SHOW, RAIL JAM AND LIVE MUSIC AT THE IDAHO STATE CAPITOL FOR NEW YEAR'S EVE!

Idaho's signature holiday event that can only be truly experienced LIVE at the Idaho State Capitol! The Idaho Potato Drop is a free and charitable community event that supports local arts, business and charities.

KTVB was on hand, interviewing "Spec-Taters" and live broadcasting exciting new additions from the all-new "Tuber Luge" to the McCall Winter Carnival ice sculpture pre-show in Capitol Park.

The USASA-sanctioned "Big-Air Rail Jam" sponsored by Inland Northwest Toyota Dealers, was the first of it's kind. This cutting-edge snow park utilized crank pulleys, kickers, rails and quarter pipe. Entire families were entertained with the all new "Tuber Luge" public high-speed tube sled luge, built by Gateway Parks Eagle.

There was plenty to eat, drink and music to dance all night on the multicolor LED dance floor in the completely renovated Cumulus Radio VIP Room. VIP patrons enjoyed 360 degree views of the event, while experiencing intimate performances from DJ Jett Rokk (Portland) ,Off Center Dance Project, Recycled Minds and delicious food from Fresh Healthy Cafe.

ECCO provided enhanced lighting for the #GlowTato, Rail Jam runway and McCall Winter Carnival Ice sculpture pre-show. Rocky Mountain Audio Visual Inc. provided an even BIGGER LED mobile and stage screens.Wrestle Club battled for the "Potato Belt" championship in Capitol park and once again, Inland Crane #DropItLikeItsHot at midnight!

Grown in Idaho provided a world-class fireworks display and Main Stage entertainment with a strong lineup, including all-star band Planes on Paper and Northwest favorite Desert Noises (special featured guest artist announcement coming soon). Local performances included: Idaho Songwriters showcase, Boise Rock School, Zack Quintana, Voice of Reason Reggae, BREAD & CIRCUS, and Red Light Challenge.

The Big Idaho Potato Tour truck was on hand to snap a photo with Spuddy Buddy. Check out custom Idaho Potato Drop merchandise and gear. There were fun activities, vendors and non-profits in the free and heated Mountain America Credit Union Family Tent. The added new all ages food and beverage court was a big success for families to enjoy some delicious local grub and Sockeye Beer on Capitol and Bannock!
